Giving Opportunities

Every gift to Saint Ignatius Loyola School makes a difference. Whether it is a gift to our Annual Fund, a gift-in-kind to a Special Event, a gift to our Opening Doors Capital Campaign, or a one time gift in honor of someone, every gift is significant in that it allows us to continue the legacy of outstanding education found here. From its founding in 1854 to today, our school thrives because of the generosity of families, alumni and friends. Please consider making a gift to our school, either through one of the following giving opportunities and programs or by attending a Special Event and know that your gift makes possible an exemplary educational experience for the students of Saint Ignatius Loyola School.

Annual Fund:

The Annual Fund is a yearly program designed to reach out to all constituencies of Saint Ignatius Loyola School for their support. Gifts to the Annual Fund are used to help bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost of a Saint Ignatius education by providing the funds necessary to help meet current scholarship and other budgetary initiatives. The Annual Fund is launched in November and runs throughout the school's calendar year. All donations to the Annual Fund are needed and most appreciated.

Opening Doors...The Campaign for Saint Ignatius Loyola School:

Through purposeful stewardship, the present facilities at Saint Ignatius Loyola School have served our needs for over one hundred years. In order to continue to provide an education of the highest standards - one that remains challenging, supportive, structured, and spiritual - we have embarked on a multi-year project to renovate our school building. This project is being financed through a combination of capital campaign fundraising and debt financing initiatives. This funding strategy is allowing us to progress toward a total building renovation, due to be completed in 2010.

As members of the Saint Ignatius community, it is our responsibility to secure the school's future while maintaining its safety, comfort, and beauty. To be successful, we need the support of our entire school community. We invite you to consider the ways you can be a part of this pivotal undertaking, to "be the opener of doors...for those who wish to accomplish more."

Scholarship Funds:

David Oing Memorial Fund

The David Oing Memorial Fund was established to honor the memory of David Oing, who was a student in our fourth grade class when he tragically died on February 7, 2004.

David epitomized scholarly attitude and a zest for life and is missed by all of our school community. He will always be remembered by his classmates, who unanimously voted to dedicate their 2008 graduation yearbook to him. David's parents, Judge Jeffrey and Mary Oing, established this fund to keep the beauty of David's spirit alive and to enable his contagious smile to bring joy to the school he loved attending each day.In 2004, the David Oing Memorial Golf Tournament was established to help provide income for this fund as well. Please check our calendar for information on this event.

Tax deductible gifts to the David Oing Memorial Fund may be mailed to:

The Barbara Brennan S.T.A.R. Fund
(Short Term Assistance Relief)

Barbara Brennan was a parent of three children who attended Saint Ignatius Loyola School in the late 1970's and early 1980's. Barbara, like many parents today, realized the sacrifices she faced in providing the best education for her children, and how meeting financial obligations in attending Saint Ignatius Loyola School could be difficult for some families. Barbara was an ardent volunteer at our school and was always there for her children too, who were able to graduate and receive the firm foundation necessary for their future educational success.

Upon her sudden death in June of 2002, the family wanted to remember her and they established the Barbara Brennan S.T.A.R. Fund, which provides assistance for current Saint Ignatius Loyola families who experience life-altering events that bring crisis to a family. The goal of this program is to give short term tuition relief with the understanding that the family will return the favor in the future with a donation to the fund, allowing for its perpetuation and commitment to future recipients. Every other calendar year, the Brennan family hosts a Special Event to raise money for the S.T.A.R. Fund, so please check our calendar for information on this event.

Tax deductible gifts to the Barbara Brennan S.T.A.R. Fund may be mailed to:
