Kindergarten Admissions

  1. As of September 2010, Saint Ignatius Loyola School no longer offers Early Admissions.
  2. Prospective parents/guardians who already have another child enrolled in Saint Ignatius Loyola School are required to attend the Kindergarten Sibling Information Meeting on September 19, 2011 at 8:45 a.m. in McKinnon Hall. No exceptions will be made.  Applications will be distributed at the meeting.
  3. First-time parents/guardians must attend an admissions tour in order to receive an application. Tours are conducted on Mondays and Thursdays from September through December and can be scheduled by contacting the main office.  The school does not supply applications via fax, email, U.S. mail or the school’s website.
  4. The application fee for Kindergarten is $200.
  5. The final date for submitting applications is January 6, 2012.
  6. All applicants to Saint Ignatius Loyola School’s Kindergarten will be tested in January. Parents/Guardians will be contacted by the Admissions Committee with the date and time of their child’s test.
  7. Kindergarten admissions notifications will be sent the week of February 6, 2012.
  8. When warranted, the opportunity for a retest will be given only to siblings of current students of Saint Ignatius Loyola School. The final decision of whether or not a retest will be given will be made by the Administration. 
  9. Parents/Guardians of applicants must register their child by the date indicated on the acceptance letter. The nonrefundable registration fee must be paid at the time of registration. If registration is not completed by that date, the child’s seat will be forfeited.
  10. Acceptance to the school cannot be deferred to Wait List status.
  11. Admission to Saint Ignatius Loyola School is highly selective, however priority is given to:
        a. Siblings of current Saint Ignatius Loyola School students;
        b. Families who have been registered parishioners of the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola for three years and who are active, contributing members;
        c. Current students of St. Ignatius Loyola Day Nursery.
