SCREENWRITING

Wednesdays, Grade 6 through Grade 8 with Mr. LeBlanc

 

Students will learn how to create their own movie scripts. Students will examine preexisting scripts of popular movies, learn the film industry-standard format, and create their own movie ideas through a series of individual and group exercises. By the end of the club, the students (individually or in small groups) will complete a finished draft of a short-film screenplay. Students will use a software program specifically for screenplay formatting.
