Admissions Tours, Policies, and Deadlines: PreK3 through Kindergarten

If you are interested in applying to PreK3, PreK4, or Kindergarten for the 2027-2028 school year, please contact the school’s Admissions Office beginning the week of August 31, 2026 to schedule a tour. The office can be reached by phone at 212-861-3820 x106 or x129, or by email at [email protected]. Please note, admissions tours are for prospective parents only.

 

If you are a sibling family, you do not need to take a tour. Please contact the Admissions Office for an application.

 

Admissions Tours begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at approximately 10:45 a.m.

Upon receipt of your complete application, you will be contacted to arrange an assessment date and time.

 

Week of January 18^th

PreK3, PreK4 and Kindergarten Admissions Notifications will be sent via email.

 

1. Requirements to apply:

1. PreK3 – applicant must turn three years old by December 31, 2027.
2. PreK4 – applicant must turn four years old by December 31, 2027.
3. Kindergarten – applicant must turn five years old by December 31, 2027.
4. All children must be toilet trained prior to starting Saint Ignatius Loyola School.

2. Non-sibling prospective parents must attend a parent-only, in-person, Admissions Information Session and Tour of the Lower Campus. Sessions are conducted September through December and must be scheduled by contacting the Admissions Office beginning August 31st. Admissions applications are provided at the end of the tour. Applications are not available through the School’s website or email.

 

3. Applications for current Saint Ignatius Loyola School siblings are available by contacting the Admissions Office. Attending an Information Session and Tour is not required for sibling families.

 

4. The Admissions Committee will not review an applicant’s file unless all requirements have been submitted as noted below:

1. Baptismal certificate, if applicable
2. Your child’s most up to date immunization record – It is important to note that Saint Ignatius Loyola School requires all students to be fully immunized. There are no medical or religious exemptions.
3. One family photo
4. One individual photo, wallet size or smaller please
5. Completed parent questionnaire
6. School records such as progress reports, report cards, attendance records and standardized testing results, if applicable
7. One current teacher recommendation is required for applicants currently attending a school or daycare program. It is important to note that the teacher is responsible for submitting the recommendation directly to the Admissions Office.
8. The Admissions Office will not accept the ISAAGNY Teacher Report in lieu of our own recommendation form.
9. The application fee is $235. The application fee for families applying from abroad is $335. The application fee must be paid by check payable to Saint Ignatius Loyola School. The application fee is nonrefundable.

5. The final date for submitting applications is Thursday, December 10, 2026. All applications must be submitted in hard copy either by mail or by hand to the Upper Campus located at 48 East 84th Street, New York, NY 10028. Applications will not be accepted after the deadline. Applications received via email will not be accepted.

6. All PreK3, PreK4 and Kindergarten applicants will be assessed in person in the month of January. Parents will be contacted by the Admissions Office in December with the exact date and time of their child’s assessment appointment.

1. Children applying to PreK3 and PreK4 will visit the Lower Campus with their parents on Friday, January 8, 2027.
2. Children applying to Kindergarten will be assessed on one of the following dates:
   • Tuesday, January 5th, at the Upper Campus
   • Wednesday, January 6th, at the Upper Campus
   • Thursday, January 7th, at the Upper Campus
   • Friday, January 8th, at the Lower Campus

7. PreK3, PreK4 and Kindergarten admissions notifications will be emailed the week of January 18, 2027.

8. Parents of applicants must register their child by the date indicated on the acceptance letter. The nonrefundable registration fees must be paid at the time of registration. If registration is not completed by that date, the child’s seat will be forfeited.

9.  Acceptance to the School cannot be deferred to the waitlist.
