Coding With Music Grades 6-8 with Coach from CodeSpeak Lab

 

Students will explore programming through beat-making, sound design, and interactive music projects. Using Scratch and introductory JavaScript, students learn how code can control rhythm, tempo, loops, and sound effects while building original musical experiences. Students experiment with beats, patterns, and timing, then apply core programming concepts such as variables, conditionals, and loops. By the end of the program, each student codes a music-based project of their choice, programming their own beats or remixing a favorite song through code. This course blends creativity and technical skills, showing students how coding powers real-world tools used in games, apps, and music production.
